3 Reasons I Love Studio Sessions

As y’all may or may not know, I am now a co-owner of a rad studio space called Creative Co. Studio in Des Moines, IA! I had been dreaming of going in on a studio with fellow photographer friends if the opportunity presented itself, and sure enough within a month, it did! So in the middle of having a baby, I said yes to an amazing studio space and it has been one of my favorite new business adventures.

Let me tell you - it’s been pure bliss using the space for some really fun sessions that I absolutely adore :) I’m stoked to explore many new creative visions in the studio for couples, families, seniors, creative portraits, maternity, newborns, and more! If that's not enough to convince you of how great it's been, here are a few more reasons why I’ve been LOVING studio sessions.

1. Creative Exploration

One of my top favorite things about a studio session is the ability to get creative. Working in a studio is kind of a “clean slate” that you can add whatever you want to. There’s always something new to explore!

2. Focus Where It Should Be

A biiiigg plus of sessions in a studio space is that it brings the focus more on the subject. That could be you! ;)

Whether it’s capturing the warm fuzzy feelings of the cute couple, the intricate details of a new life growing, or the creative portrait, you’re the focus (as it should be)!

3. Intimate Space

I am HERE for the laid-back, organic, and effortless feel of studio sessions. Being in a private space, sessions tend to have a more slowed down, intimate feel. I can’t get enough of it!

All this to say… more studio sessions in the sunlight, please!
