3 Reasons To Get Your Photos Taken

If you've been following along for a bit, you know that I'm the gal that encourages you to get updated photos with your person and/or family as much as possible! In my opinion, if you aren't getting them done at LEAST once a year, you're missing out. ;) Personally my idea of a perfect world would be getting photos done *seasonally* but I realize that’s a bit much haha! Whatever your time frame looks like, here are 3 reasons why you should get your photos taken and prioritize documenting your life:

1. Life changes SO fast. Whether you have kiddos or not, life a year ago looks so much different than life now, and what life will look like next year. Photos are a tangible way to remember each chapter in life.

2. Photos are a gift for future you and future family members. One of my favorite pastimes to do when I'm at my parents or grandparents house is skim through old photos from growing up. The birthday parties, the posed family portraits, my parents' wedding day -- it never gets old.

3. You will never regret getting life documented, you'll only regret NOT doing so.

Here's my quick list of occasions that call for a photo session:

- proposal

- engagement

- wedding

- honeymoon

- anniversary

- vacation

- buying a home

- adopting a pet

- baby announcement

- maternity

- newborn

- 6 months

- 1 year

- family photos

- in home family photos

- holiday cards

- birthdays

And the cycle continues! I could go on and on, but y'all get the idea.

If this is a concept that you resonate with, or something that you *intend* to do, but maybe life gets so busy that updated photos get put on the backburner, I offer the Milestone Collection! This is primarily geared toward growing families, and the goal is to remove the "oh shit, I should probably get photos scheduled" feeling. Book as many sessions as you'd like ahead of time, and leave the prompting to schedule sessions to me. Select as many milestones you'd like ahead of time to remove the stress as life gets more and more wild. A classic combo a lot of clients do is maternity, newborn, 6 months, and 1 year. But the combos are endless! Read more about my Milestones Collection here.

If you're reading this, here's your sign to get your sweet life documented. ;)

xo, Kyndal
