5 Wedding Ideas for 2023
Every year, we see new and creative trends emerge for wedding days. Now, there are SO many options for/ fun things to add to your big day. I’m a big believer that your wedding day should be like your love; unique and totally YOU. Here are some ideas that I'm loving for 2023 weddings:
1. The outfit change is here to stay! Brides (and grooms too!) are opting to switch into something comfier, or something that allows more movement for the dancing portion of their reception. I'm obsessed! And let's be honest, anyone's whose gotten married can attest to how sore their feet are or how sick of whipping around a long train gets at the end of the night. 2. Scheduling in alone time as newlyweds. Couples are opting to prioritize one on one time on their wedding days. After the unfortunate tradition of being busy busy busy and pulled in a million directions on your day, couples are realizing how valuable one on one time is.
3. A rotation of bridal accessories. From veils, to gloves, to capes, jackets, removable sleeves, and so on -- there are so many fun bridal accessories these days, and brides are making the most of it! Such a fun way to make the most of your bridal moment.
4. No wedding parties. This nods back to people making their days more about the two of them, and about the large party of it all. Couples who want to spend the day celebrating and relaxing all at once are also the type of couples who are opting to say no to a wedding party. They're still doing bachelor(ette) parties and spending the morning with their close friends -- just not making a huge ordeal of it all with a formal wedding party.
5. Private land weddings. I'm seeing more and more people planning their weddings DIY style! Whether hosting it at an Airnbn/VRBO, their own homes or at the home of a family or friend -- more and more couples are going for the big tent wedding, or just outdoor + private weddings in general. And I'm obsessed with it!
All in all, weddings are becoming more creative, more about the couple themselves, and more about it being an intimate experience. And I love to see trends going that way! Here's to the 2023 wedding season!
