Modern Iowa Wedding Day: Happy Tears & a DIY Floral Aisle

Ummmmmm WHERE TO BEGIN with Bryan + Deanna?? Their day was one I looked forward to for a looooong time. Deanna reached out in January of 2023, and I knew from the get-go that their day would be one to remember. Something I hear often from clients, including Deanna + Bryan, is that they love photos, but really want to spend their wedding day enjoying the company of their loved ones β€” and my goal is always to make sure you get to do exactly that! I focus on being more of a fly on the wall, and capturing the moments as they unfold naturally.

Something I took away from their day is the way their family and friends loved on them so so well all day long (and from what I understood, their whole engagement season too!). For example: Deanna’s mom literally did all the florals herself. She spent so much time researching wholesalers that sold the specific colors and blooms Deanna wanted, then literally put together every floral piece herself (with the help of D’s sisters and aunts). That floral aisle? When I arrived the day of their wedding, Deanna’s mom could be found putting each of those roses in the ground herself. A labor of love to say the least! The florals turned out STUNNING too.

Check out all of my favorite moments + details from Deanna + Bryan’s beautiful wedding day! Scroll to see their happy tears (especially during the first look + ceremony). :’)
