Sara + Caleb's Simple Intimate Wedding

Sara + Caleb had planned on having a big 200+ person wedding the first weekend of May, but ended up cutting their guest list down to just immediate family and me! While they were initially bummed that COVID-19 had caused them to change their plans, they did see the beauty in having an intimate, simple wedding with their closest loved ones. And this day did not disappoint considering all things!!

The two started their wedding day by exchanging letters, followed by a first look. (Anyone planning a wedding, I would highly recommend doing both of these things!) Their ceremony took place in front of a pond on the bride's sister's property, and their families gathered round to witness the two of them exchange vows. After sharing their first kiss and a little happy dance, everyone walked across the property to a tent where we had dinner and sweets. The night ended with some STELLAR sunset shots, and a bonfire of course!

I've never photographed a wedding like this before, and I LOVED every moment of it. It had all the feels of a beautiful Iowa night, bonfire and all, and was SO overflowing with love and togetherness!

Check out all my favorite moments from this beautiful day:
