Minnesota Arboretum Intimate Wedding Day

Sydney + Seth’s love story is soooooooooooo warm and fuzzy. They’ve known each other since grade school, Sydney made moves on him in middle school, but Seth avoided her advances, until one day in high school when he had a light bulb moment. The rest is history :-) Idk guys it just gives ROM COM and I love it. They’ve been “Syd + Seth” for nearly a decade and their day was full of all the sweetness that comes with marrying your longtime best friend.

They kicked the day off by doing an intimate first look + vow reading with each other beneath a trellis that felt more like the French countryside than Minnesota. Tears were shed, laughs were had, and it was all in a beautiful setting. If you’re looking for a smaller venue in the Midwest, I’d strongly encourage checking out the MN Landscape Arboretum! There were so many nooks on the grounds of the arboretum — it was photo heaven! One fun spot of note in the indoor greenhouse area. We took a few of their couples portraits in here and it was soooooo gorgeous and added some easy variety to their gallery.

Their ceremony will live in my memory rent free. Again, a small crowd on the lawn in a secluded area on the arboretum’s grounds made for the perfect backdrop for their ceremony. Sydney’s brother walked her down the aisle, and I think everyone there witnessing this moment was in their feels. They exchanged self-written vows, which had everyone in attendance smiling, giggling, and tearing up.

Lastly, their reception space was soooooo intimate and lovely. They had tables decked out with florals and lamps on the terrace of the main building. The tables were arranged family style, which further fueled the snuggly and intimate feel that the whole day had.
