Why I Love my Associate Team

If you don’t already know — I have an associate team! Let me tell you, they are absolutely the best addition and I’m stoked to have them on the Kyndal Elise team :) If you’re wondering what hiring an associate team looks like, here’s the rundown:

For the photographer gal that wishes she could be in 2 places at once and serve as many amazing couples as possible, there's an associate team! For days where I'm already booked or have a family obligation, I have team members who can step in for me. To put it simply, they shoot the wedding/ engagement for me and I handle the communicating and editing portion. It has been so wonderful!!!

In the fall of 2021, I was super pregnant with my first baby and feeling SO bummed about having to turn away amazing couples as my 2022 calendar was full, and as I was taking on less weddings due to our growing family. I knew some other photographers with associate teams, and had actually BEEN an associate photographer in the past. After a lot of thinking, I added 4 associate photographers to my team in October of 2021 and it has been so fun!

My team is made up of four Iowan photographers. Some of them have their own businesses, some of them are more "hobbyists" with other full time jobs. All of them are trained and vetted by me to give the same Kyndal Elise experience as I would, and all hold the same photography values as I do! I put a lot of intentionality into selecting each of my associates and the training and resources I provide — at the end of the day, this is my business I’ve built from the ground up, my first baby ;) I can confidently say my associates can give you the same KEP experience and I completely trust each of them to deliver the same quality services as me!!
